:doubt is a mental state in which the mind remains suspended between two contradictory propositions un able to be certain in any of them. doubt on an emotional level is indecision between belief and unbelief.
Oh doubt you are not welcomed here. Doubt has a nasty way of rearing its ugly head when we are in pursuit of our dreams. We can doubt if we made the right choice, are we even in pursuit of the right things? We doubt if we are good enough, do we know enough, do we have enough, are we sure this is what were called to do? Do I have what it takes? We doubt whether we will "make it" or not, will we be successful, will we leave an impact? We might even doubt if the obstacles are even worth the outcome. We meet a moment in our journey where our minds are suspended between the truth that got us started and the lies that grip us in unbelief. When this happens because it will. There is only one person, one place we can turn to! The one who can see it all, the past, the present, and the future. The Lord Jesus Christ. This is a good time for us to stop in our tracks and recount His faithfulness and remember what He has spoken.
Recounting Gods faithfulness in your life is a sure way to remember what he has done and believe that if he did it once won't he do it again? When we remember the the ways he showed up and we read about the ways he moved in the Bible we are filled with faith and belief that He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. We realign our thoughts with truth as we posture our hearts back to trusting Him. His faithfulness abounds and never changes. It's who He is. Doubts no longer have a place when they are recounted and exposed before the truth.
When we remember what He has spoken it reignites the belief of who we are and what we were called to do, fighting off every ounce of doubt. When you know what He has said and you KNOW WHO HE IS trust is our first instinct. To know who He is is to know who you are.
"God is not a man that he should lie or a son of man that he should change His mind. has He said it and will He not do it? or has He spoken and will He not fulfill it?"
He is faithful to finish what he started in you. We must only believe.
When we only see in part it is our job to prophesy His promise, to believe who he is and what He says, to trust Him in the process.
So friends when in doubt recount and remember the faithfulness of THE FAITHFUL ONE!
